A featured style expert on FOX, CBS and ABC television, Stephanie Simons is our stiletto aficionado—and her collection rivals the skyscrapers in her native San Francisco. Shoetube's Nor Cal correspondent claims to have been a stilt-walker in a past life, and launched her journalism career as a freshman at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California (instead of writing for the school paper, she freelanced part-time for regional magazines and newspapers). Today she works as a beauty editor and fashion writer, although she also pens about wildly fabulous travel destinations and to-die-for restaurants. Having spent her early twenties in fashion shows—and in a swimsuit and heels on the road to Miss Universe— she learned the tricks of her trade from backstage clothing designers, makeup artists and hair stylists.
