Team Shoetube

Site and Video Production Team

Katie Losito - Director of Business Development for Shoetube.tv.

At size 8, there’s only one thing Katie loves more than cooking Italian food, and it’s shopping for Italian shoes!  Katie is responsible for crafting and selling innovative online advertising programs for this innovative web community. Previously at Powderhouse, Katie was the executive assistant to president Tug Yourgrau and helped promote award-winning programs such as Build it Bigger and Kids by the Dozen. Prior to joining Powderhouse, she was the managing editor for WEBN News as well as an executive producer at WERS Radio in Boston. In 2004 she was honored with the Bob Hoyt Journalism Excellence Award from the Radio Television News Directors Association, and has been the recipient of numerous Associated Press awards. Katie is an alumnus of Emerson College with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She is now thrilled to be connecting with shoe lovers and shoe sellers all over the world.

Kelly Rostad  - Vice President of Marketing for shoetube.tv

She diligently works to spread the word and sing shoetube’s praises worldwide. Born in the Caribbean, raised in Canada and educated in the U.S. and Europe, Kelly developed an eclectic sense of style from an early age. She quickly learned that she liked being “on the move” and therefore, she better have the right shoe for the right occasion and for the right climate. After receiving a degree in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Colorado, Kelly headed to the East Coast to work for Boston Magazine, but was soon lured away by CBS News to work the campaign trail. This eventually lead her to the doors of both the CBS and NBC affiliates in Boston.  She has covered everything from breaking news, (while breaking heels) to sports and special interest stories. Kelly also worked in radio, advertising and media consulting, which brought her to Powderhouse Productions and the brave new world of shoetube.tv, where she is definitely living life and loving shoes!

Genea Sobel-Director of Public Relations for shoetube.tv

She gets the word out!  She has always been known to be fashion conscious—as a baby if she spilled on her clothes she was quick to protest using tears. As quickly as she learned to walk, she learned of her love of shoes.  Till this day her heels can be heard from miles away.  Genea’s 12-year career in public relations has allowed her to  walk and work with an array of clients; honing her communications skills at highly regarded firms including Manning, Selvage and Lee, A&R Edelman and The Bohle Company.  Her career highlights include: Zappos.com where she has garnered major media coverage and rubbed elbows with celebrities.  She also spearheaded the PR campaign for Your Environmental Road Trip (YERT), a year-long eco-expedition through all 50 states, and launched the in-house PR departments at KMD Architects and Hands-On Mobile. But, as fate will have it Genea ended up combing her two talents – PR and fashion – and now can truly say she is one step forward. She holds a degree in Psychology and Marketing from San Diego State University and a degree in Fashion Design from FIDM.

Michelle Weber  - Editorial Director and Producer for shoetube.tv

A perfect fit considering she has been a shoe fanatic since childhood.  Her first order of business is scouring the globe in search of the hottest trends in fashion forward footwear and bringing them into your closet. She is also responsible for directing talent, writing scripts, and interviewing international designers. Before joining Powderhouse Productions Michelle served as Senior Producer in the Special Projects division of the duopoly WHDH 7 NEWS (NBC) and WLVI CW56. In addition to the investigations, breaking news coverage, and human-interest features, style was always a staple. She produced the stations top franchises, “Gretta’s Got it” with Gretta Monahan, “The Style File”, the home design segment “Room for Improvement”, and the cooking segment “The Dish”. Prior to that, Michelle worked for Hearst-Argyle and produced nationally syndicated shows “Healthy Kids Show”, “American Baby” among others. Michelle didn’t shy away from being in front of the Camera, early in her career she worked as a reporter and anchor. Michelle’s work has been nominated for several Emmy’s, and is an alumnus of Boston College. She is thrilled to be working for showtube.tv helping women to find their perfect “sole mate”, she says when it comes to fashion, one thing she’s learned is “a shoe always fits”.

Olivia Ahnemann (Producer, Denver)

Olivia has a passion for exploring and is lucky that has taken her around the world. She has observed that, in many cases, you can guess a person’s nationality by the shoes they wear. Her favorite traveling shoes are flip-flops in

the tropics and hiking boots in the mountains. She has been producing documentaries, television commercials, and independent films for over ten years and is thrilled to be part of Shoetube! Currently, she is producing a feature documentary for the Oceanic Preservation Society due for a Summer 2008 release. Olivia was born in Auckland, New Zealand and grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Now she lives at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado with her husband, Mike, and dog, Maggie. Colorado is a very causal , so most of the time Olivia kicks around in her size 9 Dansko clogs.

Eric Fuerschbach (Video Editor, location shoots)

Eric wears a size 11 shoe and takes a progressive approach to shoe fashion. He does not want to be niched into one shoe. He likes his Lugz boots, Carlo Morandi shoes, and Van's sneaker collection. He's got Phat Farm, Converse, and Dockers to boot.

Eric edited trailers in Los Angeles for years before moving to the Boston area to be closer to family. Since moving to Boston, he has edited film festivals, commercials, and taught editing for the New York Film Academy. He now takes on his biggest challenge yet: editing videos about women's shoes.

Rebecca Graham Forde (Producer, Los Angeles)

From her first "jellie" purchase in sixth grade to raiding her mother's newly purchased Gucci high heels for the prom in high school, Rebecca has always carried on a love affair with shoes. A perfect six-medium, she was often been criticized for fashion over form when roaming the streets of Boston working in commercial, feature, and documentary production. It was only two years ago she packed up and headed west to Los Angeles to find "her people" -- those who believe in the open toed shoe 24/7, anytime of year. When not ogling new shoe collections or making a run for a sale, she produces documentaries for Discovery Channel, History Channel, amongst others, develops feature film projects, is an active member of the Producers Guild of America, and is a screenwriter.

Tammie Luciano (Asst. Video Editor/Daily Shoe Video Editor)

Tammie hails from Barrington, RI and has always been a sneaker chick (footwear suited to her mad drumming skills). She will, on occasion, dip into a pair of boots – though no boot will ever be as memorable as the pair of pink leather cowboy boots her parents bought for her in Tennessee at age 5 (explains her affinity for bluegrass music). After graduating from Emerson College in 2006, Tammie's had the pleasure of working on a number of video projects, from NASCAR racing to ballroom dancing. She predicts that she will own at least 52 pairs of shoes by the end of the year… a pair for each week.

Michelle Shaw (Producer, San Francisco)

Michelle is admittedly a life-long shoe snob. She’s currently obsessed with Varvatos for Converse and Bui, yet she remains true to the original 10 eye 1490. Other than that’s she’s an award-winning producer and writer with an MFA from NYU/Tisch. Her credits span diverse national and international projects including scripted and non-scripted programming, commercials, music videos, and feature films, which includes all formats as well as CGI and cel animation. Clients include MGM Interactive, Electronic Arts, FOX/KTVU, NBC/KRON, Deutsch Advertising, Toys ‘R’ Us, Jakks Pacific, Play Along Toys, Playmates Toys, Wild Planet, Jack Morton Worldwide, Elgin DDB, Sandbank & Partners, Simon & Schuster, Chrysalis Records and Atlantic Records. Her passion for bringing the best, most effective and creative solutions to each project is matched only by her dedication and finely tuned instinct. www.shawbang.com

Moses Shumow (Producer, Miami)

Moses is originally from New Mexico, where the footwear leans toward Tevas/Birkenstocks, or maybe cowboy boots, depending on your line of work. He started working on documentaries in Boston, after moving there for graduate school (and buying his first pair of snow boots). After several years in the cold and dark, Moses and his wife moved to Miami a couple of years ago (flip flops, year 'round). He did a stint in Spanish-language production and he’s now pursuing a PhD in mass communications at the University of Miami, while doing some freelancing on the side. Shoe size:13. Favorite pair: Hand-sewn Brazilian leather moccasins

Brian Truglio (Video Editor)

Brian is a size 9.5 Zen Master from New Jersey (Exit 40, route 78) who recently got in touch with his inner cowboy (think Seeger Sessions not Wanted Dead or Alive) via a pair of square toe, classic harness Frye boots. He has over ten years experience editing all kinds of subjects and apparel, including both men’s and women’s wear. While cutting, he has a simple approach – be the shoe.
